How are you going to adapt the rear clam to the exhaust position? Will it be open, like on my car?
My main problem, after finishing the front and rear mould in the next week, will be to adapt the connection points of the new body to the (old :lol: )chassis. After that nasty job done, I have the intention to cut the rear body almost as on your car, perhaps getting different lines closer to the speedster design. Will see... but a LOT of work to be done in very short time. I think the rear undertray will not be finished on time...will drive without... :wink:

The Lexan is not for the sun roof... :wink:

I fitted the new carbon floor, but had to adjust it inside as the central air deflector (middle naca) was touching the exhaust tube...

I am now working on the new carbon fiber rear difusor (three parts). Unfortunately the full body will not be ready by the end of this month, but it's improving... ;)

The new two carbon fiber rear wing feet are weighting almost half of one aluminium. I saved one kilo on the rear carbon fiber wing, without touching the wing itself yet.
I will reduce its weight by another kilo but next winter.

The rear OEM aluminium extractor weights 1.8kg. You can find carbon fiber extractors on the market but they weight an elephant ! And you have to fit it ABOVE the OEM one... My solution is made of 2 lateral parts as shown below plus a central underwing creating more downforce than usual (thanks Mr. Brawn for the idea)
This is the first part (800gr) of my extractor. It's very rigid so no need to keep the original one (-1.8kg)

I assume the finished version will weight about 2kg so +200gr compared to OEM but with more than 30% of surface...

I would "test load" your diffusor before doing some high speed runs. I do not know how low your car will be to the ground in its final trim, but if the diffuser works well, it could pull quite some kilograms. I do not know how heavy you are :wink: but what happens if you would stand on the diffusor (not in the middle, but both feet say 20cm from the support brackets?). Maybe that is a bit over the top, but I would certainly try to test load it to approximately 50kg.

I did not walk on it but I can tell you it's (too) very hard. There is 13cm at the extreme lower rear point clearance to the ground, and I made it long enough not to go further rear compared to the exhaust pipe plan. If as you say I get +-50kg of downforce at xxxkm/h, I would be very happy ! Let's test it ! :wink:

Euhmmm, okay, with that clearance (13cm) you probably will not reach 50kg's... although... what will your top speed be? 260-270km/h? Then again, you might reach 50kg's :wink:

Guys, I now need your help. Here is what I am thinking about :

The grey part in the middle is a Lexan. I will perhaps change it for a black lexan afterwards.
The wing feet will not be visible except for the vertical parts.
The wing height is ajustable and now 13.5cm
Waiting for your comments before cutting everything... :arrow:

btw i am following your project from the first day and the car is losing
kilos every time 8)
