Can I assume your not going to use the boot anymore?
Would like to see the same picture with just two square vent holes, instead of six small ones. The area for ventilation seems small compared to the oem ones in the boot cover. The black area between the rear lights must be additional vent.

Thanks very much for your interest guys. My first idea was not to cut anything, so just keeping the central Lexan but because of turbo exhaust, it could be a problem. Be also aware I have side vents incorporated as shown on picture so fresh air will get easily inside, and should also get out easily because it will be wide open behind.

Perhaps I could first not cut, and then see the result on engine bay temperature...

@Herman: Very good idea for the nacas on top and right hand side !

Are you close to the target weight?
Yes. The car will be under 800kg, and still the third part to be done...later !

Replacing the alu chassis by Carbon Fibre too?
Nice collection of pics. Impressive work so far, to say the least.

Any plans on upgrading the 290 bhp, or is the focus only on loosing weight?

I don't know. The car was already extremely fast before those changes (weight+brakes). I would like to finish the chassis first, so still the third part of my light weight list to do, perhaps next winter.

Thank you very much Herman ! Very interesting figures. The Lexan can resist 150°C, so it's already a good news. Perhaps the best solution would be to add a small ventilator (manual switch inboard) getting the hot air outside when stopped...?

If the roof, back and frontclam work out, have you considered reselling them?
