Rear body is now finished !

I will fix the black grids and Lexan window after the painter's job done.
I start now with the middle, basically the hardtop, that I still need to fix properly on the chassis.

And then, end of this week, I start the front...PFFffff....

Very nice project! Looking forward to see the end result.

When I bought my car I wanted to change the rear as well.

I wanted to get rid of the taillights as well since I have 2 sets of Ferrari taillights. One set used from my previous car (same as 308 - F40).

The last set I have bought about 7 years ago cause I was planning on building my own design car. Due to some problems i've stopped the project but still would like to use my new set (fitted on the F50 for example) for the speedster.

I'm afraight It's gonna be a Ferrari wannabe car though ....

The rear design is a speedster, no change, but as soon as you glue circle lights, people first think it's a Ferrari... or Corvette, but looks really close to an Exige I have to say. We will compare with the Spexige on same picture in August...

gotta give it to you: you've got a point there: Never looked at it that way "Exige" instead of "Ferrari look" ....

Most people don't even know what a Speedster looks like anyway

The painter did not even start to work on my car, in one full month, so I assume the 2009 track day season is dead for me...

When the car will be finished, if one day, I will post pictures of course !

Some fresh news...
This is the oem tube connecting the air/air intercooler to the plenum and the light carbon/kevlar version, coping with more than 3 bars of pressure. I will cut the end of the oem tube to ensure proper connection.

I will test this on track in early 2010 and then build the lower one, same process.

Good to hear you're back on track.
(read you'r frustration on a german forum, and thought you were gonna quit completely, due to a lost track season)

The aim is to have it on the road for the 2010 season?
