As the 22th of march Spa track day was cancelled due to...



...I will be at Zolder for my first track day this year with my "new" turbo if ready... We will be at least 4 speedster and it would be nice to see you there !

Yes I'll come probably,
I still have a free ticket for 1 hour from last year.
I booked for two hours but after one hour I had gearboxoil everywhere on the rear of the car.

Are you not affraid with your 70mm exhaust for the noise ? 95dB !!

If all goes as planned, I will be there the 7th. Me and a friend (Porsche 911) entered for the Circuit Experience course in the morning. So we'll probably be around in the afternoon too.

Perfect guys !!! So we could be 9 speedster !
Even with a race exhaust on the turbo, you stay below 95 dB.

One week to go and my engine is still out of the car
I should fix this small detail this saturday, hoping everything will be done on time

It was nice to see you guys...but short !

They take the noise at 2 different points on the track.
You just have to lift the throttle when you pass those 2 points.
One after the 'kanaalbocht' and one coming over the tunnel.

I did a 1'57 lifting at those two points before ending with no brakes.
Pedal to the floor and no brakes at all !!
Very lucky I was not to damage anything only lot of stones under the floorpanel.

Very frightning moment ending in the grindbak (engels?)
Brakefluid have to be renewed every year I think !?


I don't like this track and this was probably the last time.
95dB limits!!!!! even a standard lotus elise was black flagged for noise.??!

Ouch ! You were lucky. One (good) solution is to replace your brake oil with Motul RBF600. It works well. I don't see the point to lift up the throtle on a track were you are supposed to push... If I can not solve my noise problem easily, I will not go anymore neither... Nice to meet you there Next time we take the time for beer... Can you come at Spa next Monday ?

I was their too, i took my renault clio out on the track between 17.00 and 18.00 before changing him for the speedster the day after . The trick is to shift if you pass the point where they take the noise. (it's just after the Bianchi and not the "kanaalbocht").

Yep, I think I will try that ,but it's not fun... Can you put by anychance a picture of the track indicating where they take the sound, for the community...

Here you can see the position of the 2 soundpoints. The 1st is visable when you are on track (near the wooden trackmarchall house). The 2nd is not visable on the track.
