It may be the center piece itself is thicker or the steel type of the disc has changed (more dense steel type).Don.Hasi schreef: arno: If the allibelleddiscs from geary for the vx weigh like dom has proofed 5,45kg, then they are 0,5kg heavier than the s2-allibelleddiscs from geary which should weigh 4,95kg. That the design of the rotors should be nearly the same is obvious. But where comes the increase of 10% from ? Any ideas?
Compared to the Elise version the bell is shaped differently on the speedster version because the hubs on the speedster are bigger to allow the 5x110 fitment.
This means that the 'bell' is a lot thicker/rounded around the edges to still get enough strength in the material.
You can see the difference in the bell design if you look at Maik's photo and the ones on the Eliseparts site.
Finding out if the steel type used by Geary is different on these new ones is more difficult.. Guess only he can say..
Bye, Arno.
