I started my anti gravity work on the rear lights;I will try to take out as much as possible on the 1.1kg per side, but still having legal lights...
First stage : Protect the quite fresh paint (1 day !) and build the exact shape of the rear lights in glassfiber.

They have to be as smooth as real glass as they will receive a 3d sticker.
Stage 2: Cut the light support into the rear body (-240gr).

Stage 3: Build light fixing parts.

The composite part of the work is now finished. Once I will get them back from the sticker man, I will deal with the electricity.

1. I think anybody can easily do the same as this is a very basic moulding and cheap too, so no, I am not going to clone them. The main budget will go for the stickers, 386 euros for 2 lights, and then the led lights, making this mod around 480 euros for a gain of 1.86kg. That will also preserve my original (expansive) lights from track hazard...
2. Will you do the front lights also?
YES !

No idea where you're going with the stickers (i would spraycan them for 3 euro, and then put in the smallest led lights i could get my hands on)
Therefore looking forward to see the final result

Here's a sample of Joel that put in leds, because the internal part was melted away. (he spray canned the outside)

Joel was not into weight saving, he just wanted to save what was left of the lights.
As MOT requires a reflective part, i would try to find led lights with a reflective part in them (like the lotus elise has), to make the whole look as clean as possible.
